Our Philosophy

At Willow Integrative Health, our philosophy is grounded in the belief that mental health care should honor the whole person- mind, body, and life context. We combine evidence-based psychiatry with a personalized, integrative approach that considers the roles of sleep, nutrition, hormones, stress, and lifestyle.

Healing begins with understanding, and every treatment plan is developed collaboratively to help you move toward balance, resilience, and lasting wellness.

Founder

Jessica Russell FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, RN

Jessica Russell is a dual-certified Family and Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner committed to thoughtful, supportive, and clinically grounded care. She earned her graduate degrees from Duke University and has been practicing nursing since 2008. Her experience spans inpatient care, home health, private practice, and telehealth, giving her a broad and nuanced understanding of patient needs across settings and life stages.

Grounded in the nursing model, her approach centers on each patient’s physical, emotional, social, and cultural needs, promoting health, autonomy, and compassionate care. She enhances this approach with advanced training in lifestyle medicine and integrative psychiatry through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, Psychiatry Redefined, and the Institute for Functional Medicine.

Jessica values experiences that expand her perspective- travel, time in nature, and moments with her family all shape the empathy she brings to her work.
